Our Staff...
Sheila Schabel (Owner/Director)
Sheila is a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and business owner. Sheila has an associate degree in Early Childhood Education, a bachelor’s degree in Integrative leadership studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Human development. It is with this skill set that she provides the very best that she can to the families she serves and her staff. When she isn’t working Sheila can be found spending time with family, whether it be her husband, granddaughter, or her children. She is also an active member of her church. Sheila enjoys traveling when she can and crafting as often as she is able.

Christine (Office Assistant)
Christine is the office assistant here at HSCC. She is a large support to the entire staff, as her skill set is not only office related but also creative. Christine has a hand in a little of everything here at HSCC, from full office support to creative staff support, to loving the children, she does it all. Christine is an active member of her church, and often volunteers her creative skills with them as well. When she isn’t working, she can be found enjoying the company of good friends or expressing her God given talents through many forms of art.

McKenna (Two’s Teacher)
McKenna is a full-time student in the Early Childhood Education program at NWTC, and a full-time toddler teacher here at HSCC. McKenna is an active member of her church. She enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her puppy. When she isn’t working, studying, or enjoying the company of family or friends, she can be found snuggled up with her puppy and a good book.

Sheila (Preschool Teacher)
Sheila is a full-time student in the Elementary Education program at UW Superior, minoring in Early Childhood Education, and a full-time preschool teacher here at HSCC. Sheila also holds a part-time job in a local hotel. With a very busy schedule, she still finds time to enjoy life with friends and family. She also finds time to enjoy things like fishing, truck and tractor pulls, races, and in the summer a great time on the river.

Dylan (Assistant Teacher)
Dylan is an Assistant Teacher here at HSCC, he is primarily in the preschool room but from time to time he helps in other classrooms too. Dylan is an avid collector of nerf guns, Legos, and flashlights. He is an active gamer, and thoroughly enjoys exploring games in virtual reality. When he isn’t working Dylan can be found enjoying the company of friends, family, and engaging in the gaming world.

Sheyenne (Assistant Teacher)
Sheyenne is an Assistant Teacher here at HSCC, she is primarily in the Two’s Classroom, but she does help in other classrooms as needed as well. Sheyenne is a new momma to one beautiful baby. Sheyenne spends most of her time playing and watching her little one grow, but she’s never too busy for some quality family time or a play-date for the little one with close friends.

Hayley (Assistant Teacher)
Hayley is an Assistant Teacher that spends most of her time here in the Two’s Classroom but is frequently needed in other classrooms too. Hayley is a full-time student at WTC in La Crosse, has a part-time job with a local convenience store, and works here at HSCC part-time. Between her two jobs and school, Hayley still finds time to spend with family and friends.

Abby (One’s Teacher)
Abby is the Lead Teacher in the One’s Classroom. She just enrolled for the fall semester at NWTC to finish her degree in Early Childhood Education. Abby is an active member of her church, working in their toddler room. Even with a busy schedule, Abby still finds time to enjoy time with friends and family, a good movie, and even enjoys a spirited board game.

Krista (Assistant Teacher)
Krista is the Assistant Teacher in the One’s Classroom here at HSCC. Krista has a Certificate of Professional Development in Early Childhood 1, from WWTC [WTC]. She is also Lead qualified, in accordance with WI DCF 251. She spent 8 years as a childcare provider in her home. Krista went on from in-home care to become a foster parent for several years, on top of being a mother of five. As most of her children are grown, she now has only two at home. Krista splits her time between her schedule here at HSCC and the schedules of her two youngest. When she isn’t working Krista can be found spending time with family and friends, cooking, or enjoying a good movie night.

Riley (Float)
Riley is a Floating Teacher, she is Lead qualified which allows her to fill in for any classroom that may need her. Riley is a full-time student at UWL, majoring in Educational Biology. She holds a very busy schedule between being a full-time student, working a part-time job here at HSCC, and another part-time position at a different local business. Even with all the work of school and two jobs, she still finds time to enjoy playing the piano and painting.
Megan (Float)
Megan is a Float here at HSCC. She is a support system between classrooms and the kitchen. Megan is Assistant qualified for a classroom, so she commonly fills in within classrooms but her talents in food prep and cooking are often utilized as well. Megan is a mother of one, and her time is split between home and her full-time position here. When she isn’t working, Megan can be found enjoying time with her husband and her beautiful young daughter.

Michelle (Nursery Teacher)
Michelle is the Lead Teacher in the Nursery. Though she maintains a full work schedule, she still finds plenty of time to spend with family. Michelle has three siblings who have blessed her with a total of eight nieces and nephews, all of which she loves to spend time with as often as she can. When Michelle isn’t working or enjoying the company of family, she can be found snuggled up to a good movie or indulging in a hot cup of coffee and a crossword puzzle.

Tasha (Float)
Tasha is a Float here at HSCC, she is Lead qualified which allows her to fill in any classroom she is needed in. She can also commonly be found assisting in the office. Tasha is the mother of one, beautiful preteen daughter. With a busy work schedule, Tasha still makes sure to have plenty of time for family, friends, and a good book or movie.

Tom (Cook)
Tom is the in-house cook here at HSCC. He is an active member of his church, commonly cooking for their events as well. Tom is the proud father of eight grown children, and the grandfather of five wonderful grandchildren. With his children all being grown, Tom enjoys their company, and the company of his grandchildren, as often as he can. Tom also enjoys the company of friends and his church family and can’t pass up the challenge of a good board game.
